Another very popular casino poker variation, Caribbean Stud Poker is played between you and the Dealer, with the object being to win by having the strongest hand. If you beat the Dealer, you are paid out according to a paytable based on your hand value. Only one deck is used in the shoe, with shuffling occurring in-between each hand.
Caribbean Stud Poker has both antes and bets, and you must wager both in order to play. At the beginning of each hand, place the required ante in the betting circle.
You are then dealt 5 cards, and the Dealer gets one card. The hand of Caribbean Stud Poker now commences. You have the choice to Fold or Call. If you Fold, you lose your bet. If you Call, your ante is doubled. Now the Dealer receives another 4 cards, and your hands are compared.
In Caribbean Stud Poker, both you and the Dealer need to have a minimum hand in order to play – this is an Ace-King. If the Dealer cannot play, you automatically win your bet plus double the ante, no matter what hand you have. If the Dealer does have an active hand and you win, the value of your hand determines how much you win, plus double the ante.
