American Roulette is almost exactly the same game as European Roulette, except that the wheel has an extra number – 00. There are thus 38 numbers on the numbered wheel that is spun, each with either a white or black background – or a green background in the case of 0 and 00. The game is played by spinning this wheel and dropping a ball into the tray of the wheel, in the opposite direction to the wheel spin. Players bet on where the ball will come to rest and are paid out according to an odds paytable.

In American Roulette there are different types of bets that you can make. You can bet on which actual number slot the ball will land on, or on a combination of these numbers. You can also bet on whether the number will be odd or even, and on other set odds like 2-1. In the online game of American Roulette bets are placed by first choosing your coin size, using the + and – sign buttons, and then left-clicking on the betting mat where you want to place to bet. To bet on number combinations, click on the lines that separate the numbered squares. You can bet more than one chip on each position, depending on the betting limits of the game and each position, by left-clicking multiple times. You can take a bet off the American Roulette betting mat by right-clicking on the bet.

When you are finished placing your bets, click the Spin button, which will set the American Roulette wheel in motion and drop the ball into it. A small magnification screen shows you the position of the ball at all times, and when the ball comes to rest you will see the winning number in this screen. Your winning bets are paid out according to the paytable below, and losing bets are removed.
